ANSWERS TO SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS
Why the 65 degrés?
That's precisely the temperature of a "perfect egg"... the whites cook at 62°, the yokes at 68°... 65 provides a creamy, delicately cooked egg!
Who are we?
4 high energy, high motivation co-founders, with various competencies, with years of experience in handicap, but also high profile jobs in private companies. We want to mix our competences with our idea of a better world! And of course we compensate for our lack of industry experience by hiring professionals.
Why this project?
In Belgium, we count over 10.000 people bearing the Down Syndrom (Trisomie 21). That's one every 1000 Belgians. Yet it is hard to say that their integration is very visible. Jobs, schools,... we must make more space for people with a difference, and our bet is we can change the world... one customer at a time.
So who's cooking?
On a daily basis, the restaurant is managed by 2 professionals: a manager and a chef, who combine together close to 40 years of experience.

PARTICIPATE IN OUR PROJECT
65 degrés, non profit association founded in 2018, has a mission of inclusion of handicapped people in a great restaurant.
It employs a total of 10 employees, out of which 7 bear a mental handicap (Down Syndrom, Autism,...)
The main activity is commercial, but not for profit. Together with its staff, the restaurant's goal is to delight its customers with great food and even greater welcome. By choosing Avenue Louise as it's home, we are making a statement, that difference should be celebrated, not hidden or avoided.
To support our launch, we have been supported by generous donators and investors. For our first few years of operations, we need a little help from you. If you'd like to make a donation, please click hereunder.
As a recent organisation, we do not currently provide donators with Tax exemption. For companies, we can arrange tax deductible sponsoring contracts.
